GF: Dawnfall — Official Community

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Scope and contact

This policy explains how the GF: Dawnfall team processes personal data relating to the website, accounts, game and support. It applies to official Dawnfall services. External websites have their own policies.

For privacy questions or requests about your data, use Help and support on our website. Do not include passwords, identity documents or financial information in an initial request. If we need to check account ownership, we will ask only for proportionate, necessary information through an official channel.

2. Data we process

  • Account data: username, email address, login credentials, language and email verification status.
  • Game data: characters, names, classes, levels, reincarnations, guilds, progress, inventory, currencies, transactions and activity results.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, access dates, technical browser or client information, sessions, login attempts and relevant error or action logs.
  • Support and moderation data: messages, reports, evidence you provide, replies and measures taken.

Ordinary registration does not require your real name, home address or identity documents. Avoid providing sensitive data or information about others that is unnecessary for a request.

3. How we use data

  • Create and administer accounts and provide access to the game and website.
  • Save characters, progress, inventory and game transactions.
  • Verify email, recover accounts and communicate security changes or operational service information.
  • Answer questions, investigate reports, enforce community rules and prevent fraud, cheating and unauthorized access.
  • Maintain the service, diagnose issues, make backups and restore data after incidents.
  • Publish rankings, achievements and other game community information described in this policy.

We use the data needed to provide the service you request, protect its operation and meet applicable obligations. Where processing requires consent, we will request it specifically; you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Account emails are not used for commercial campaigns without separate authorization where required.

4. Email and verification

Registration asks for a valid email and verification through a single-use link. An unverified email does not prevent you from signing in to the game. A pending email does not prove ownership of that address and does not, by itself, enable password recovery.

When you verify your account email and have no other recovery email, that address may be used to recover the account. Any previously configured alternate recovery email is kept. Changing your account email requires verifying the new address.

Verification and recovery links expire in 30 minutes. Delivery depends on the email service being enabled; the website will indicate when it is unavailable. Security and verification messages do not contain your password.

5. Information visible to the community

Character and guild names, approved emblems, classes, levels, reincarnations, scores, competitive results and certain game achievements or prizes may appear in rankings, guild pages and service news. These publications are part of the community experience.

Account emails, credentials, IP addresses, private support messages and internal administration data are not displayed in those public panels. Do not put personal information in names, descriptions or messages visible to other players.

6. Providers and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Authorized staff access it according to their duties. We use infrastructure providers to operate the service:

  • Cloudflare: website delivery and protection, secure connection to the backend and distribution of public resources.
  • Google Drive: storage of backups encrypted before upload.
  • Resend: delivery of verification, recovery and security messages, receiving the recipient and content needed for that delivery. We do not enable open or click tracking.

Providers may process data in other countries according to their terms and applicable safeguards. Public downloads must not contain private account data. We may also disclose information where required by a valid legal obligation or necessary to protect rights and respond to incidents, within applicable limits.

Dawnfall Points purchases are currently disabled and the website does not request card details. Before enabling payments, we will disclose the relevant terms and provider.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use necessary cookies to maintain sessions, protect forms, remember language and manage security. The language preference may last up to one year; sessions have expiry and inactivity controls. Cloudflare may use mechanisms necessary for abuse prevention and security checks.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although functions such as sign-in may stop working. We currently do not integrate advertising cookies or optional commercial analytics. If we add optional technologies requiring consent, we will request it before enabling them.

8. Retention and backups

We retain account and game data while needed to provide the service and manage the account. Technical, security, moderation and support records are kept as needed for their purposes, dispute resolution and applicable obligations; access is restricted.

Access links expire in 30 minutes. Completed or cancelled email notification records are cleared under a retention policy of up to 90 days. Encrypted backups follow rotation cycles and may temporarily retain information deleted from the active system; they are not used as an ordinary operational source and disappear as the corresponding copies expire.

Deletion requests may require limited information to be retained for security, legal obligations or outstanding claims. We will explain applicable limitations when handling the request.

9. Information security

We apply technical and organizational measures including HTTPS, role-based access controls, session protection, attempt limits, administration logs, service separation and encrypted backups. Provider credentials and private keys are kept outside public files.

No system offers absolute security. Use a unique password and do not share it. Dawnfall staff will never ask for your password. If we identify an incident affecting personal data, we will assess its scope and make notifications required by applicable law.

10. Your rights and choices

You can change email and password in My account, review sessions and request assistance. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of your data in an appropriate format. You may also withdraw specific consent and complain to a competent authority where applicable.

Submit requests through Help and support. We will check ownership proportionately, consider other people's rights and retention obligations, and respond within applicable deadlines. Deleting an account may prevent recovery of its characters and progress.

11. Children and young people

Use of the service must respect applicable minimum age and authorization requirements. If you are a minor and need permission from a parent or legal guardian, obtain it before using the service or providing data. If an account is reported as violating these requirements, we will review it and take appropriate action.

12. External links and channels

Links to external communities, services or websites are governed by their operators' policies. Share only necessary information and review their terms before using those services.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features, providers or applicable requirements change. We will publish the current dated version and communicate material changes through official channels. If a new use requires consent, we will request it before starting.

This policy is available in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Traditional Chinese according to the website language you select.
